Women Of My Billion: Priyanka Chopra Announces Next Production Project with Prime Video

Priyanka Chopra Jonas is currently visiting India with her husband Nick Jonas and daughter Malti. During her visit, the actress, and producer attended the recent 'Prime Video Presents' event to announce the release of her latest production, titled 'Women Of My Billion' or WOMB for short. The upcoming ary will address issues related to violence against women from various parts of the country. The film's narrative will be presented through the perspective of Srishti Bakshi, the winner of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals Changemaker Award.

Priyanka Chopra Announces New Production Project: Women Of My Billion
The project tells the story of a woman who walked over 3,800 kilometres in 240 days, travelling from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. The production is being undertaken by Priyanka's production house, 'Purple Pebble Pictures'. During this significant journey, the narrator, Sakshi Bakshi, met hundreds of women from different states and cities in India. These women shared their stories of struggle, rights, and fighting against various types of violence that women face worldwide.At the event, Priyanka Chopra announced that the ary film would be released on Amazon Prime Video after its theatrical release. The ary is a joint project between Priyanka's Purple Pebble Pictures and Awedacious Originals. It will feature social worker and women's activist Pragya Prasun, who has dedicated her life to rehabilitating women facing violence.

Priyanka Chopra Talks About Her Documentary At The Amazon Prime Presents Event
A preview of Priyanka Chopra's upcoming ary film was shown at the Prime Video event, where announcements were made about over 70 upcoming projects to be released on the streaming service. Priyanka spoke about her collaboration with Prime, saying, 'I've had a really long relationship with Prime Video, now almost going on for four years, and they have always been champions of the work that I have done. And this movie was one of them.'Priyanka also talked about her motive for helping produce this ary. She shared, 'As a company, we, Purple Pebble Pictures, stand for being a springboard for filmmakers who want to tell stories that they are passionate about. The ary raises an important question on violence against women, which is not just an India issue but a global issue.'
