December is when year end charts make a comeback on streaming platforms. While international platforms Spotify and Apple Music have come up with their respective charts, they did not have a specific list of top indie songs. Whereas music streaming service Amazon Music has recently released their year end list of the top indie songs on the platform. While a few songs on the list have been ruling the charts through the year on other services as well, some of the songs on the list are quite a surprise. Here's a list of the Top 10 indie songs of 2022 on Amazon Music

1. Tu Kahaan (1 Min Music) OAFF and Lothika with lyrics by Ankur Tewari

With Meta starting the trend for 1 minute music and including tons of indie artists in the launch campaign, it has become quite a rage on streming platforms. OAFF and Lothika's track is romantic and does manage to convey a story in the 60 seconds that they got. Credits to Ankur Tewari for the apt lyrics.

2. Favourite Peeps - Prateek Kuhad

Indian indie music's biggest crossover Prateek Kuhad released his album The Way That Lovers Do in 2022 along with announcing a North America and an India tour to promote the album. Favourite Peeps is the third track on the album and has a stunning music video with Prateek playing a very thought out character.

3. Mazaak- Anuv Jain

Mazaak might seem sonically similar to Anuv's hit song Gul, it is different in more ways than one. The song talks about falling in love when one least expects it. Its a classic Anuv Jain song accompanied by a cute music video.

4. Koyla - Raman Negi

Ex-front man of The Local Train went solo in 2022 and released the album Shaksiyat. 'Koyla' is a strong, grunge-heavy song that will make for a good live performance.

5. Mallige Hoova- All OK ft. Ashika Ranganath

Released in September, Kannada rapper All OK's Mallige Hoova crossed a million views on Youtube within 5 days. The buoyant party beats and accompanied by a stunning music video, the song is definitely an earworm.
