Indie Artists to take Centre Stage at the 10th edition of the North East Festival in Delhi

The four-day North East festival will be held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in the national capital from December 23 after a two-year hiatus due to COVID-induced lockdown. Narayan Rane, Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, will kick off the carnival. The North East Festival is a vibrant celebration of arts, crafts, food, music, fashion and dance with an aim to promote tourism opportunities in the region.
Indie artists from the region will perform on all the four days. The artist lineup at the North East Festival include Assamese Superstar Zubeen Garg, Darjeeling bred Delhi based singer songwriter Bipul Chettri and the Travelling band, Assamese singer songwriter Klanjan Bora, Imphal based hard rock act Innocent Eyes, Delhi based alt rock band from Manipur Traffic Jam, Delhi based Djent/metalcore project from Assam Flying Cupid, singer-songwriter Bipul Chettri's project Bipul Chettri and The Travelling band from Darjeeling, Nagaland based pop rock band Trance Effect, singer songwriter from Arunachal Pradesh Taba Chake, Meghalaya based artist Jessie Lyngdoh, indie rock outfit When Chai Met Toast, DJ/producder Teri Miko, avant garde folk metal act Serpents Of Pakhangba will keep music lovers entertained. Another highlight of the event will be the battle of the bands - a rock music competition - for the youth of northeast and Delhi.
