Suryakant Sawhney, known professionally asLifafais an Indianindiemusician. He spearheads two widely acclaimed and musically diverse projects mdash the Peter Cat Recording Co (PCRC) and Lifafa. While the former is a Delhi-based jazz band, the latter is a solo electronicmusic project. Lifafa offers a mix of acoustic folk elements and an old-school disco layered with a baritone voice that can be angsty and meditative at the same time.
