Lollapalooza India highlights from Day 1

Among the highlights of the first day of Lollapalooza India were 20 songs, including Radioactive, Demons, It's Time, Bones as well as Bad Liar, by Imagine Dragons, whose lead singer Dan Reynolds hailed the warmth of the people of India as well as its food. Reynolds, who waved the Tricolour as the crowd grooved through the band's 90-minute performance, said "this is the first of many more shows to come in India".
Saba Azad took to the stage as part of electronic duo Madboy Mink. Actor Hrithik Roshan along with ex-wife Sussane Khan was there to support the actor's girlfriend.The international sounds that set the mood of the evening began with Chelsea Cutler and Japanese Breakfast bringing in fresh sounds. The power packed rock genre had fans grooving in the grand arena of Lollapalooza India with the iconic Greta Van Fleet.
Japanese Breakfast was a visual and audio treat for the audiences and many who were new to the music joined the crowds, vibing to the live performance, setting into a trance.
Indo-Canadian Punjabi singer AP Dhillon sang his hits like Wo Noor, Toxic, Brown Munde, leaving the audience in raptures at Lollapalooza Mumbai, the loudest applause coming in for 'Tareef', during which he strummed the guitar as well. "This is why we make music, it brings us together," Dhillon said amid his stage performance.
The most awaited act of the first day of the festival, which wound up at 10pm, was that of Imagine Dragons. Among the bands and artistes that performed were Indie pop band Japanese Breakfast led by musician Michelle Zauner, The Yellow Diary, Abhi Meer, Tracy de Sa and more.
