One of the few Indian artists who has balanced both Bollywood and independent music over the years has been Angarag "Papon" Mahanta. Now the multifaceted singer songwriter has announced his concert tour across 9 cities, starting with Dibrugarh on 3 November and ending with Udaipur on 16 December. The other cities which are a part of Papon's concert tour include Shillong, Indore, Bengaluru, Bhopal and Delhi. Along with his India concert tour Papon will be performing in Singapore on 9 November.

The talented singer, composer from Assam is known for his folk roots. He has constantly showered spotlight on ethnic music from the Northeast which is evident in the singer's MTV Coke Studio songs Pak Pak (a medley of Bihu songs), Dinae Dinae (folk song from Goalpara), Tokari (traditional folk music originating from Assamese instrument Dukari), Jhumoor (journey to the tea gardens).

Papon recently released his tribute song for Gulzar, Kahani Koyi on the veteran lyricists 88th Birthday. The concert tour will enable his fans from across the country to enjoy his music live.
