The OG Electronica artist in India- Dualist Inquiry aka Sahej Bakshi

Team Radio City Freedom

Delhi based producer composer Sahej Bakshi has played on every stage in the country which showcases electronic music. Known by the moniker Dualist Inquiry, Sahej started his music journey in his teens when he started writing songs and eventually picked up the guitar. Having been influenced by the 90s and 00s alt rock bands like Rage Against The Machine and Greenday, it was only in his early 20s that Sahej started dabbling into electronic music. By then he was done with covers and had stepped into composing his original music. Back then it was just having fun with his new found love, not restricting himself to any particular genre or sound. With time he started finding stylistic elements and developed a sound that he likes to listen to.

Sahej came out with his debut EP Dualism in 2011 and it instantly catapulted him into the Electronic music royalty of India. The mellow nature of his tracks laced with easily recognisable guitar lick motifs came as a breath of fresh air in an indie music scene where electronic music was only restricted to clubs. By the time he came out with his debut full length album Doppleganger in 2013, Sahej was headlining festivals in every corner of the country and abroad. His latest track Discovery which will be part of his upcoming EP is a classic Dualist Inquiry track with upbeat riff based electronica.
