7 Bollywood Celebrities Who Have Been Involved In Cases Related To Drugs
WIth the ongoing drug addiction and CBI inquiries attracting many from the film industry, several actors and actresses have been caught up in drug cases by the narcotics department. Read to know who made it in the list.
1. Sidhhanth KapoorSiddhanth Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor's brother and Shakti Kapoor's son was held by Bengaluru police on June 12 after he was spotted reportedly ingesting drugs at a party. He was taken to the Ulsoor police station and detained.
2. Fardeen KhanThe NCB arrested Fardeen Khan, the son of Bollywood veteran actor Feroz Khan, in a narcotics scandal in 2001. He was held on suspicion of cocaine possession. After undergoing ade-addiction treatment, he was given immunity in 2012.
3. Aryan KhanAryan Khan, Shah Rukh Khan's son was arrested at a rave party held aboard a cruise liner. On the evening of October 2, 2021, an NCB team searched the Goa-bound cruise and allegedly seized drugs. Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant, and Munmun Dhamecha were among those who were arrested by the NCB.
4. Sanjay DuttSanjay Dutt was arrested for cocaine possession in 1982 and has been outspoken about his battle with addiction. He stated that he had been hooked for some years and that he had to seek treatment in America. His biopic starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, and Vicky Kaushal highlights his struggle with addiction.
5. Rhea ChakrabortyActress Rhea Chakraborty was arrested last year in connection with the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. She was described as "an active member of a drug syndicate." Rhea was charged with obtaining narcotics for Sushant. She was also accused of distributing illegal drugs to others in her Bollywood circle.
6. Bharti SinghLast year, NCB confiscated drugs from Bharti Singh's home in Mumbai, and she and her husband, Haarsh Limbachiyaa, were detained. During the search, the central agency discovered 86.5 grams of Cannabis in the couple's home and office.
7. Aman Preet SinghThe Hyderabad police station recently detained actress Rakul Preet Singh's brother Aman Preet Singh in connection to a drug case after a joint operation carried out by the Narcotics Bureau and Rajendra Nagar SOT Police.Five people were arrested in a drug-peddling case. However, Aman's name came up in the top 13 people who consumed drugs and tested positive for the same.
