Mata Sita Ke Purva Janam Ki Kahani | Kahani Pauranik Bharat Ki
The story of Goddess Sita's previous birth has various versions found in different Puranas. One prominent narrative from the Vishnu Purana suggests that in her previous birth, Goddess Sita was an incomparable power of Lord Vishnu.
The tale begins with a special yajna conducted by Prajapati Daksha in his sacrificial grounds, where he invited all the deities. However, he had a strong conviction that Lord Hari (Vishnu) would not attend his yajna. In response to this, Daksha proclaimed that whoever did not participate in the yajna would be considered superior due to their absence.
Upon hearing this, the devotee of Lord Hari, Narada, took the form of a princess and arrived at Daksha's yajna. The princess was extraordinarily beautiful, captivating everyone's attention, and Daksha favored her more than his own daughters.
On the day of the yajna, a divine voice echoed from the sky, declaring that the princess was an incarnation of Shri Hari and had come to test the devotion of the assembled beings. Goddess Sita then narrated her previous birth's story, expressing her intention to become the devoted wife of Lord Rama and face all the trials of the world with him.
Afterward, she revealed her true form, becoming Sita, the virtuous and dedicated wife of Lord Rama in her current birth.
