5 Hard-hitting dialogues from Dunki
Dunki has finally come out, and it is receiving a lot of love from everywhere. Fans of Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani are just loving this new adventure crafted by the 3 Idiots director. The film has been called an emotionally charged comedy film that has left everyone in awe. Apart from the memorable acting by the leads, the film is written with sharpness and wit. Its dialogues are catchy and make you feel all sorts of things.
Here are five hard-hitting and memorably poignant dialogues from Shah Rukh Khan`s Dunki:
1) "Yeh kahaani maine shuru ki thi"
Coming at a pivotal moment in the film, this dialogue from Shah Rukh Khan is just so reaffirming. Shah Rukh Khan makes us evoke multiple emotions as he speaks these words. With his eyes invoking charm as well as a lot of heartwarming feelings, he says, "Yeh kahaani maine shuru ki thi, Toh khatam bhi main hi karunga."
2) "Sau saal raaj karke gaye angrezo ne."
Another example of a brilliantly written dialogue by writers Abhijat Joshi and Kanika Dhillon, this one sends you on an evocative trip to think deeply. Another emotionally charged scene that will have you edging on your seats with tears in your eyes, Shah Rukh Khan just nails it with his acting.
Addressing his friends, he says, "Sau saal raaj karke gaye angrezo ne. Jab bhi yaha aaye the humne toh inse nahi pucha tha ki bhai Hindi aati hai kya. Jab Humne Inko Nahi Roka Tha Toh Yeh Kon Hote Hain Humko Rokne Wale?"

3) "Humne Majboori Mein Apna Ghar Chhoda Tha"
If the song `Nikle The Kabhi Ham Ghar Se`, written by Javed Akhtar and sung painfully by Sonu Nigam, is filled with all the emotions of leaving your home, this one line underlines that feeling in the film very well. Another time when Shah Rukh Khan makes you want to give his character Hardy a tight hug as he says, "Humne majboori mein apna ghar chhoda tha. Warna koi apne desh, apna parivaar, apne doston ko chhodkar kyun jayega sarhadon pe goli khane."

4) "Nahi aati Angrezi ho gayi galti"
This dialogue, said with power by Taapsee Pannu, is exhilarating. It is reminiscent of the ability of Abhijat Joshi and Rajkumar Hirani to find humor in unusual places. In a rather serious scene, Taapsee says this with conviction: "Namuna nahi hain yeh. Nahi aati angrezi ho gayi ghalati. Kushti khub aati hai waha ghalati nahi karte."
Well, you can imagine how the theater crackled with laughter hearing this.
5) "Isko aata hai ek bhi shabd Punjabi ka"
Vicky Kaushal is totally a scene stealer. He showed that in Sanju as well, which was directed by Rajkumar Hirani, and he does that even in Dunki. Another moment of some seriousness converted to humor by the innocence in the writing.
Speaking to a foreign official, Vicky Kaushal`s character expresses his anguish by saying, "Yeh nahi reh raha Punjab mein. Isko aata hai ek bhi shabd Punjabi ka?"
Dunki has been released in theaters today, and it clashes with Salaar as it releases tomorrow on Friday.
