For the uninitiated, Tropical Cyclone Michaung wreaked havoc upon several cities and districts in Tamil Nadu, including Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram, Nagapattinam, Cuddalore, and Thiruvallur.
Many low-lying areas are submerged in downpour, and people are suffering without enough drinking water, no electricity, and a weak phone signal.
Amidst the dreadful situation, Tamil actors Karthi and Suriya have announced an initial donation of Rs 10 lakhs that will go in any form of relief aid to the people affected by floods.
