The actress, who is gearing up for her upcoming action drama Jigra, is busy promoting her film in various ways. For the uninitiated, the Vasan Bala directorial also stars Vedang Raina and Manoj Pahwa in prominent roles.
Now, in a recent interview, Alia Bhatt got candid like never before. She spoke about her life after giving birth to her daughter, embracing motherhood whilst juggling with work, and everything in between.
The Highway actress sat down with Allure for a rather unposed conversation where she touched upon topics about her personal life. From giving a glimpse about how her daughter Raha Kapoor is growing into a beautiful child after becoming a mom, this interview came off as highly relatable.
Calling Raha a `chatty and naughty kid`, Alia revealed that her daughter is a really bright baby and often has moments of shyness.

After becoming a mom, the actress confessed that the real challenge is to juggle work while embracing motherhood and wanting to excel at both. She has no hestitation at admitting that becoming a mother has changed her.
“How do I ping-pong between the two and do them well, but also find a way to carve out time for myself, which I’m not able to do? I’ll be very candid right now—there’s no such thing as me time. I’ve not even been able to get a therapy session for the last two months,” Alia Bhatt said.
She further shared the nuances of parenting, emphasizing how it is important to be present for your children and not control their lives.
Alia also admitted going through a rollercoaster of emotions and said, "Your soul is sort of fulfilled, but you are also always full of fear and nerves because of just wanting to do it right and wanting to do it well."

When asked who were her biggest inspirations while embracing motherhood, she credited her parents and drew wisdom from their advice.
"Children come through you. They’re yours; you are a catalyst; you are a source for their life, but their life is not yours. Their life is theirs, and you just need to give them the tools to deal with their life,” the Jigra star added.
