Animal: CBFC Instructs Makers to Tone Down Intimate Scenes, Cuss Words

As Animal continues to wreak havoc at the box office with its advance booking, the CBFC has instructed the makers to make certain changes to the film. This comes after the film was already given an `A` certificate. However, these changes are not major and won`t affect the overall narrative in any significant manner.
The film is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who has previously made Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh, which had spurred some controversy at the time of release.
According to the report, CBFC asked the makers to modify certain words from the film. These words include `black`, `costume`, `kabhi nahi`, `kya bol rahe ho aap`, and `natak`. `Costume` has to be replaced with `Vastra`. The reason for these changes being requested by the censor board is not clear as of now.
Along with this, the censor board has also asked to remove some cuss words from the dialogues and subtitles. Moreover, an intimate scene between the characters Vijay and Zoya was created by deleting the close-up shots at TCR 02:38:37. It remains to be seen which actors are playing these two roles at the moment.

The duration of the film after making the above changes has been listed at 3 hours and 23 minutes.
Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Vanga have both spoken up about the duration of the film as well as the adult certification that it has received. Ranbir even went on to call the film `an adult-rated Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham`.
Sandeep Vanga spoke about how the film is not meant to be watched by children as it has mature themes and scenes. "As far as Animal is concerned, I’d like to say that I am glad it got an A certificate. It is not for anyone under the age of 18. I will not be taking my son Arjun, my brother’s kids, or any of my cousin’s children to watch this film in the theaters."
Further, he added, "Maybe I will have another child-friendly cut of the film for them. I have children in my extended family between eight months and 17 years, and this film is not for them."
Animal stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Tripti Dimri, Shakti Kapoor, and Suresh Oberoi in important roles. It is all set to release on December 1 and clash with Vicky Kaushal`s Sam Bahadur, directed by Meghna Gulzar.
