India is roaring at the Cannes Film Festival 2024 as several artists, celebrities, and movies are showcased at the prestigious event. Speaking of movies, All We Imagine As Light becomes the first Indian film to compete for the Palme d`Or award after three long decades.
Actor Kani Kusruti, who plays a prominent part in Payal Kapadia`s All We Imagine As Light, walked the Cannes red carpet as she showed solidarity for Palestine. She flaunted her watermelon clutch at the screening of her movie at the film festival.
Videos and pictures of the actress showing her support for a war-torn Gaza amid the ceasefire have been doing the rounds on the internet. Fans and followers are appreciating Kani`s gesture.

In the videos and pictures surfacing on social media, the actress can be seen posing with her sliced watermelon clutch with the rest of the cast of All We Imagine As Light.
For the uninitiated, the fruit became a significant symbol of solidarity, with the colors—red, black, and green—being the same as those of a Palestinian flag.

Sharing a video on X (formerly known as Twitter), a fan account wrote, "She is Kani Kusruti, an Indian actress from Kerala. On May 23, the entire cast of the film danced on the red carpet as they made their way to the movie`s screening. They were all smiling as they posed for the shutterbugs.
