Deepika Padukone Attends the BAFTA 2024 Awards In Style
Taking place this year at the Royal Hall in London was the 77th annual award ceremony of the British Academy of Film and Acting. It was a proud moment for all Indians when actress Deepika Padukone was the only Bollywood celebrity invited to the occasion. Not only that, she was also called upon to present an award at the ceremony.
Wearing a sequin saree designed by Sabyasachi, Deepika Padukone looked galmorous and stunning while sticking to her roots. He love for sarees is envitable and this BAFTA look is proof.
All of these together made Deepika look very elegant, leaving fans swooning at her every step. Not just the desis, but Deepika also managed to capture a few firangi hearts with her alluring looks.
A few weeks ago, Deepika was nominated to present for the award category `Best Film Not in the English Language.` While presenting the award, Deepika eloquently said, "The incredible stories nominated in this category depict real and imagined worlds that stay with us long after the credits roll. From the Alps to the Andes, Southern Poland to Seoul, the nominees are…and the BAFTA goes to The Zone Of Interest."
The winner is a Polish historical film, based on a 2014 novel by Martin Amis. It follows the life of a German Nazi commander, Rudolf Hoss, as he strives to build a life next to the Auschwitz concentration camp.
Deepika will next star in Nag Ashwin`s dystopian sci-fi film `Kalki: 2898 AD.` The film`s cast includes famous names like Amitabh Bacchan, Prabhaas, and Kamal Hassan. `Kalki: 2898 AD` is set to release in theatres on May 9, 2024.
