Following her acclaimed performance in Nakaab, Esha Gupta will be seen alongside Suniel Shetty in Invisible Woman. Tamil director Rajesh M Selva’s action thriller film follows the story of a cop who gets the chance to undo the damage caused by an incident due to which he was falsely implicated for the murder of an old woman. His path to redemption is filled with pain.
Gupta has been coaching with Rajneesh Raveendran in boxing. A source says the sport is pertinent to the narrative. “Esha has been working out differently. Besides training to strengthen her core muscles and improve agility, she is working on improving her stamina and learning the tropes of boxing. She is not fully adept, but is a fast learner,” says the source, adding that her training involves perfecting her punches, and learning the needed gait.s
Gupta adds that indulging in a new sport has been fulfilling. “From the moment I read the script, I knew how powerful the material is. I wanted to ace every bit of this character. Learning boxing has been physically exhausting and emotionally gratifying. It takes me a step closer to perfecting the character.”
