Goodbye Trailer: In A Logic Vs Rituals War Between Amitabh Bachchan And Rashmika Mandanna, Love Wins

Goodbye starring Amitabh Bachchan, Rashmika Mandanna, Neena Gupta, and Pavail Gulati released the trailer today and it is a roller coaster of emotions. The story begins with Rashmika Mandanna arguing with her parents (played by the versatile Amitabh Bachchan and Neena Gupta) to let her step out and explore the world. An intense arguement later, when Rashmika answers the door, she founds out her mother passed away.
Taking a moment to understand the situation, she and her father are tangled in a constant battle between logic vs traditions. Demanding an explanation of every ritual, Rashmika questions the traditions and stands by how her mother wanted to be cremated in a certain way to be a free soul. On the other hand, Mr. Bachchan sides with conventional societal norms.
There`s a tinge of comical relief amidst an intense situation, thanks to Sunil Grover and his epic comedy timing. He simply states that good memories have no logic and shouldn`t be burdened by traditional beliefs either. Pavail Gulati, who plays Amitabh Bachchan`s son, finds himself on the receiving end of bone-tickling yet witty one-liners delivered by his father. Eli AvRam, who plays Gulati`s love interest, finds herself lost amidst all these cultural differences (you`ll know when you see the latest trailer.)
Goodbye will make you laugh and shed a tear at the same time. A blend of various emotions such as grief, joy, logic, and tradition - this family drama comes with a hint of humor.
Sharing the trailer of the upcoming Bollywood movie, Rashmika took to Instagram and said, "A part of our Goodbye baby is now yours... This one is special for so many reasons but for now I hope you and your family like this."
A few days ago, the actress shared a poster with her reel life father and captioned the post, "Papa aur main, aa rahe hai aapke family se milne on 7th October."
Helmed by Vikas Balh, Goodbye is slated to release on October 7 in the cinemas near you.
