Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is probably the most loved travel film of our time. When it was released back in 2011, it was loved by everyone for telling the story of finding yourself through travel. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the film starred Abhay Deol, Farhan Akhtar, and Hrithik Roshan in the lead roles.
Now, after over 12 years since its release, Farhan Akhtar has started a razing discussion online by hinting at ZNMD 2 on his Instagram. In a picture he posted on Wednesday, Farhan resembled the character he played in the film. In the caption, he wrote, "The Imraan look comes full circle. What say @zoieakhtar ..? Should the Bwoys head on another road trip."
Right after this post, other members of the cast and Zoya added their comments as well, which further added to the excitement. Abhay wrote, "I’ve had my #bagwati packed since 2012; what’s keeping you guys?"
Bagwati is a popular reference from the film, which fans of the film would instantly recognize. Zoya replied to Farhan`s post, saying that her bagwati is packed. Hrithik Roshan also joined by saying, "Lesssss goooooo!". He also added a dancing emoji with this.
Moreover, the producer of the film, Ritesh Sidhwani, said, "I have two words, Satya Vachan". What has raised expectations even more is Netflix adding their own comments and saying, "Insaan ka kartavya hota hai ek road trip plan karna". That raises questions about whether the second part is going to be a Netflix original.
All that being said, fans are going crazy with this development. If this turns out to be true, it will be a huge delight for everyone who loved the film and its memorable characters.
Farhan Akhtar was earlier going to direct a road-trip film with Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, and Priyanka Chopra in the lead. However, the project was shelved. If this online discussion among the actors and makers of the film is true, it is going to be a big one.
Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara was co-written by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti. Farhan had written the dialogue for the film apart from acting in it.
