Kangana Ranaut Reveals Why She Never Worked With Salman Khan
Ahead of Emergency release, Kangana Ranaut is thrilled for her first solo directorial venture that has been much awaited. After all the delay, the film will finally release on January 17 in cinemas near you. The actress-director, who is currently busy promoting her upcoming movie, opened up about not working with her "good friend" Salman Khan.
For the uninitiated, Emergency is a political drama based on the real-life events during the period of Indira Gandhi`s government and how her one decision changed the country`s fate.
Now, in an interview, Kangana Ranaut opened up about not working with the Dabangg actor despite many offers and scripts coming their way.
Kangana reveals why she never worked with Salman Khan
During an interview with News18, the actress opened up about her bond with Salman and called him a "good friend." She even revealed why the two never shared the screen together.
When asked about the possibility of them working in a film, Kangana said, “Salman is a good friend of mine, and we’ve had many opportunities where we could work together. But, you know, let’s see. Somehow it never came together."

Earlier during the trailer launch of Emergency, she spoke about the actor and said, “Agar Salman ji ko dekhein unki kitni fan following hai, kitna pyaar karte hain log unse. I think he is right now the topmost, the most-loved star in the country. Jin logon ko unse pyaar hai, unse pyaar hai. Ab jin logon ki aankhon mein woh khatakte hain, woh to unse nafrat karenge hi."
"Jo log unki competition ke hain ya film industry walon ki baat kar rahe hain, na unki aankhon mein to woh khatkeinge. Hum unki jagah pe hone chahiye ya woh uss jagah pe kyun hain, to aise to logon ki aankhon mein woh khatkeinge," she added.
On the work front
Kangana Ranaut is currently gearing up for her solo directorial political drama, Emergency. It is based on the life-turning event of the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
The actress plays the leading role of the former politician. Along with her, the movie also stars Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Ashok Chhabra, Mahima Chaudhry, Milind Soman, Vishak Nair, and Satish Kaushik in pivotal roles.
After a long delay, Emergency will see a theatrical release on January 17 in cinemas near you.
