Konkana Sen Sharma Recalls Working With Jaya Bachchan: "I Love How She Scolds The Paparazzi"

Konkana Sen Sharma is one of the finest, most versatile actresses we have in Bollywood. Recently in an interview, the actress recalled her experience working with Jaya Bachchan in Laga Chunari Mein Daag and her much-spoken-about interactions with paparazzi. Opening up about the same, Konkana said she loves how the veteran actress scolds the paps even today.

You must be living under a rock if you don`t know about the infamous arguments between Jaya Bachchan and the paparazzi. Every time she gets clicked, the actress is either furious or annoyed. This is not just limited to the shutterbugs though. In some videos, the Kal Ho Naa Ho actress was seen asking fans not to take her pictures or videos.
Recalling the days of Laga Chunari Mein Daag (2007) when the two actresses shared the screen, Konkana said she felt `loved and protected under Jaya`s wing.` The actress said, "I also have wonderful memories of her from Laga Chunari Mein Daag. We were shooting in Benaras (Varanasi) for so long. It was early in my career and it was one of the longest outdoor shoots. So, I was naturally homesick."

Konkana further added, "She took me under her wings. And I will always be grateful. Of course, Dada (Pradeep Sarkar) and Rani (Mukerji) were fab. But Jaya di was special. I felt loved and protected by her warmth."
Helmed by the late Pradeep Sarkar, Laga Chunari Mein Daag also featured Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, and Kunal Kapoor in the lead.
"If people are going to earn their living by putting all my angry speeches on YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter, I give a damn. I don`t give a damn… You`re intruding, interfering in my personal when I`m walking somewhere, you`re taking my picture. Why? Am I not a human being?" said Jaya.

Jaya Bachchan On Why She Hates The Paparazzi Culture
The veteran actress opened up on her granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda`s podcast `What The Hell Navya` about her hatred towards the paparazzi culture in Bollywood.
