But behind all this, did you know that the Met Gala attendees have to follow certain strict rules and protocols before and while attending the function? Here are some surprising rules that the Met Gala invitees have to adhere to.
Firstly, only invited people can attend the Met Gala. The final list of guests is made by Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief of Vogue Magazine and the co-chair of the Met Gala since 1995. People who receive an invitation are generally top celebrities, socialites, sportspersons, or fashion figures. Alia Bhatt will be seen at the Met Gala this year, and her attendance will her second year in a row.
In addition, you cannot enter just because you received an invite. All invitees have to pay for a hefty ticket to get entry to the fundraiser. You also pay for a table, which is a separate cost from a ticket. According to Time magazine, an invitation can cost anywhere around $75,000, while a table can cost upwards of $350,000!
