Nawazuddin Siddiqui roped in for Tumbbad 2
The release of Tumbbad brought a creative wave to the Hindi cinema, as the film changed the perception of horror and supernatural movies in Bollywood. Sohum Shah, the producer and lead actor of the film, created a community that was in awe of the story.
Though superficial and fictional, the horror-folk drama revolved around an ancient village of Tumbbad, where a decaying castle hides a shocking ancestral fortune, protected by something ancient, sinister, and monstrous.
Ever since Shah declared the film`s sequel, moviegoers have been waiting with bated breath. In recent developments, the makers confirmed Nawazuddin Siddiqui has been officially cast in Tumbbad 2.

Known for his layered, unpredictable, and awestruck performances, the acclaimed actor is expected to bring a deeper, more layered narrative to an already intense world of storytelling.
Sharing his excitement to come onboard with the project, Siddiqui said, "Tumbbad has always been a film I admired for its originality and atmospheric storytelling."

With production scheduled to begin soon, Tumbbad 2 is slowly becoming one of the most anticipated cinematic experiences of Bollywood.

For Sohum, who has put his mastermind in creating a spooky universe like that of Tumbbad, this move of casting the Gangs of Wasseypur actor marks a strategically creative expansion.

While no dates have been released yet, Tumbbad 2 is expected to release later in 2026.
