Cheating controversy clouds Palash Muchhal yet again
Music composer and filmmaker Palash Muchhal is once again making headlines - but this time, it’s not for his art.
Just weeks after his high-profile wedding with Indian cricket star Smriti Mandhana was called off, Palash finds himself at the center of a fresh cheating controversy involving a film project and a police complaint.
According to reports, a resident of Sangli, Maharashtra, has accused Palash of accepting 40 lakh for a movie titled Nazariya that allegedly never materialised.
The complainant, who says he was introduced to Palash through mutual acquaintances, claims the composer promised profits and even offered a role in the film as part of the deal.

Palash allegedly assured him that an initial investment of 25 lakh would yield up to 12 lakh profit once the movie was released on OTT platforms.
Over several months, the investor says he transferred the full 40 lakh - only to find that Nazariya wasn’t completed, and repeated requests for a refund went unanswered.
While no First Information Report (FIR) has been registered yet, the police in Sangli have started a preliminary inquiry into the matter.
Palash has not publicly responded to the accusations at the time of writing.
This controversy comes against the backdrop of Palash’s personal life drama. Late in 2025, his long-anticipated wedding to Smriti Mandhana - originally scheduled for November in Sangli - was abruptly called off.
Smriti later issued a statement asking for privacy and saying she wants to move forward with her life and focus on her cricket career.
Palash also spoke out on social media during that time, writing, “It’s been very difficult for me to see people react so easily on baseless rumours about something which has been most sacred to me.”
That post remained one of his few public comments amid swirling gossip about infidelity and social media leaks.
With the latest Palash Muchhal cheating controversy dominating entertainment and social feeds, questions remain about his personal integrity and professional commitments - and whether this new allegation will escalate into a formal charge.
