After a week of teasing fans with the much-awaited sequel of the superhit web-series Panchayat, Amazon Prime Video finally revealed what`s in the store for us. The trailer of Panchayat 2 is out and just like the first season, more challenges and obstacles await for Abhishek in Phulera.
The trailer of Panchayat 2 gives a glimpse of the village and Abhsihek as the new secretary. With his usual team of people by him, there are some new additions and difficult challenges to tackle. The show will touch upon rural India and social enigma once again in the second season.
Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, and Raghuvir Yadav are seen reprising their old roles in the new season.
Highlighting the daily schedule of the rural life, the show also focuses on the Abhsihek`s growing comradeship with Pradhan, Vikas, Prahlad and Manju Devi as the lead actor begins to find a stability in Phulera. With newer complications plaguing the villagers, will Abhishek be able to bring in a sense of balance among the chaos?
A pinch of some serious life moments mixed with a couple teaspoons of humor, Panchayat 2 promises to captivate the audience as it did in season one.
“Growing up within the limits of a small town myself, I could relate to the dilemmas and hesitance of Abhishek right from day one, though he had a bigger challenge of transitioning into the rural life,” actor Jitendra Kumar said.
“This resonance somewhere helped me to get into the skin of the character and reprise him better. As a character, the constant oscillation of wanting to make it big but also standing in solidarity with the villagers is what makes Abhishek so relatable and unabashedly real. Into the second season, he is much more levelheaded and in peace with himself as he steers through the concerns in Phulera. It was an amazing experience to work with such a talented cast and I am looking forward to the global premiere of `Panchayat` S2 on Prime Video,” he further added.
Helmed by Deepak Kumar Mishra, Panchayat 2 is all set to release on May 20 on Amazon Prime Video and will be streaming in India and 240 other countries.
