Paresh Rawal Confirms Govinda`s Exit From Bhagam Bhag 2

Manoj Bajpayee to replace Govinda in Bhagam Bhag 2
When you think of a brainrot Bollywood comedy, Bhagam Bhag will definitely make it to the list. The Priyadarshan starrer saw Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar, and Govinda in the lead.
Ever since the sequel of Bhagam Bhag has been announced, fans cannot keep calm. While they were excited to see what it has to offer, Paresh Rawal just shared a shocking update about the second part.
The veteran star has now confirmed Govinda has exited the movie and another actor has been roped in for his role.

In a chat with Bollywood Hungama, the veteran actor spoke about Akshay and Manoj joining hands in the upcoming comedy-drama, saying, “It’ll make for a different and unique combination.”

He then added, “However, we’ll miss Govinda.” When asked why Govinda won`t be a part of Bhagam Bhag 2, Rawal shared, “I have genuinely no idea.”
Sharing more updates on the same, Paresh confirmed that he will be playing a double role in the sequel. He said, “I am excited. Maza aayega. Dhamaal hoga!”
Bhagam Bhag 2 won`t be the first time where moviegoers will see him in a dual role. Paresh Rawal has played dual roles in several movies, including Platform (1993), Andaz Apna Apna (1994), Janam Kundli (1995), and Chor Machaye Shor (2002).

A report from Variety stated, "Manoj Bajpayee has joined Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal in Bhagam Bhag 2." He has been brought on board in place of Govinda. The sequel is said to have a fresh storyline centred on mistaken identities, comedy of errors, and escalating chaos, delivering a thrilling madcap adventure while staying true to the spirit of the original. Shooting begins next month in Mumbai.”
While the 2006 release was directed by Priyadarshan, Bhagam Bhag 2 will be helmed by Raaj Shaandaliya of Dream Girl (2019) fame.
On the professional front, Paresh Rawal will next be seen in Priyadarshan`s horror-comedy Bhoot Bangla, alongside Akshay Kumar. He also has Welcome To The Jungle in the pipeline.
