Rajinikanth Undergoes Elective Procedure, To Be Discharged Soon
One of the massive Indian superstars, Rajinikanth, enjoys a huge fanbase globally. While everyone awaits the release of his upcoming action drama Vettiyan, we come bearing worrisome news. The actor was admitted to the hospital after complaining of severe stomach pain.
Rajinikanth was rushed to Chennai`s Apollo Hospital after he experienced stomach pain. The doctors and medical experts further advised him to undergo elective surgery today, on October 1.
As per the latest update, the Vettiyan star has undergone a successful elective surgery and is now feeling much better. He shall be discharged soon.
Sreedhar Pillai, an industry tracker, took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and shared the latest health update on Rajinikanth.
"The procedure was carried out by a team of three specialty doctors in a cath lab. Currently, he is stable and is being kept under observation. He will be recuperating at the hospital for the next 2-3 days before being discharged," the report read.
Earlier, Rajinikanth`s wife Latha also reassured Thalaivar`s fans about his well-being after he was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai. She told CNN-News18, "All is well."

Along with fans who are constantly praying for his recovery, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin also extended his good wishes to the actor. He took to the microblogging site and tweeted, “Friend Superstar @rajinikanth hospitalized. I wish him a speedy recovery.”
Sources close to the development suggest the Jailer actor will be discharged today.
Vettiyan brings together Thalaiva and Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan after decades. This will mark Big B`s Tamil film debut. Apart from the dynamic duo, the movie also stars Manu Warrier, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggaubati, Ritika Singh, Thushara Vijayan, and Abhirami.
Vettiyan is all set to release on October 10 in cinemas near you.
