Reportedly, Goa will always hold a special place in the couple`s hearts, as the two actors fell in love in the same location. Despite their wedding news going viral, both Rakul and Jackky have been tight-lipped about the same.
Rakul Preet Singh said, "It`s never one mantra, but something that, I think, is extremely important is being complete in yourself first to be able to complete someone else. And that`s something that both Jackky Bhagnani and I have spoken about."
"Even before we started dating, we spoke about it - the understanding that you know your shortcomings and work on your relationship with absolutely no insecurities. If one of the partners is insecure, the relationship cannot be healthy. And it boils down to being complete in yourself as a person to be able to be more giving in a relationship,” the actress further added.
A source close to the couple opened up about why they chose Goa over any other international destination. They had initially planned to tie the knot in the Middle East.
"Rakul and Jackky had initially planned for their wedding to take place in the Middle East. After nearly six months of meticulous planning, everything was pretty much in order. However, following the call from the Indian PM in December urging rich and influential families to choose India as the venue for their big life events, Rakul and Jackky reconsidered their original plans and relocated the wedding to India," the source revealed.
The source further mentioned, "Their decision, made in mid-December, necessitated a complete reset, involving the destination, rest, and accommodations. Despite the considerable changes, the couple embraced the overhaul, driven by their love for the country and desire to contribute to its growing economy."
