When you think of Bollywood being dominated by certain families, the Kapoors will be the first ones to come to your mind. With Prithviraj Kapoor marking the beginning of the family in the Hindi film industry, he passed on the legacy to several incredible actors. One of them is Randhir Kapoor, who turns a year older today.
For the uninitiated, Randhir Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor were the sons of the legendary actor Raj Kapoor, who is best known for some iconic films like Mera Naam Joker, Ram Teri Ganga Maili, Prem Rog, and more.
Randhir and Rishi went on to continue the family`s legacy in acting and became incredible performers and every director`s favorite. While the former celebrated his 77th birthday today, the Chandni actor passed away in 2020.

It was the Jawani Diwani actor`s daughter, Karisma Kapoor, who broke the norm and became one of the iconic Kapoor heroines on celluloid. She shattered the stereotypes, thus making it easier for her sister, Kareena Kapoor Khan.
Speaking of rules in the Kapoor family, it was implied to Randhir`s wife, Babita, as well. Randhir Kapoor and Babita Kapoor married on November 6, 1971. They went on to have two children, Karisma and Kareena.
However, not everything was a bed of roses for the couple. They had several ups and downs in their marriage. For several decades, Randhir and Babita have been living separately.
In an old interview, the veteran actor opened up about his relationship with his wife. Calling himself a `horrible husband`, Randhir said, “She’s not got married again, nor does she intend to, nor do I. She continues to be my wife, and I continue to be her incorrigible, horrible husband. So be it!”
“She found that I was a terrible man who drank a lot and came home late, which was something she didn’t like. And I didn’t want to live the way she wanted, and she couldn’t accept me as I am, though it was a love marriage. So it’s okay," said Randhir Kapoor.
