Salman Khan calls Dharmendra his Father
The whole of Bollywood is praying for veteran actor Dharmendra`s safe and speedy recovery after he underwent an almost life-threatening medical emergency. One of the actors who called him his inspiration was Salman Khan.
The superstar, who is currently on his Dabangg Tour in Qatar, opened up about his fitness journey and revealed who has inspired him the most since the 1990s – the era when gym-goers often considered him as an inspiration.
Salman said, “Mere aane se pehle ek hi shaks the woh hain Dharam ji," adding, “He is my father, that`s the end. I love that man, and I just hope that he will come back.”
It seems the admiration is mutual. Not long ago, the veteran actor called Salman Khan his "third son", highlighting their bond that goes beyond film stars and colleagues.

Fans were reminded of their heartwarming bond between Salman, Dharmendra, and Bobby Deol when an old clip from Bigg Boss resurfaced on the internet.
In the video, the veteran actor speaks fondly of the Dabangg actor and says, “Waise main toh kahunga, yeh mera beta hai. Mere teen bete hain—teeno jazbaati hain, khuddar hain, transparent hain. Par yeh mujh par thoda zyada gaya hai.”
“Kyunki yeh rangeen mizaaj hai aur meri tarah thumka bhi lagata hai,” Dharam Paaji continued, praising Salman`s colourful personality and love for dancing.
The 89-year-old superstar was recently admitted to Mumbai`s Breach Candy Hospital due to his ailing health. However, he has been discharged and is now recuperating at home.
Sunny Deol`s team issued a statement assuring Dharmendra`s well-being and said, "Mr Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home. We kindly request the media and the public to refrain from any further speculation and to respect his and the family’s privacy during this time. We appreciate everyone’s love, prayers, and good wishes for his continued recovery, good health, and long life. Please respect him because he loves you."
