Sam Bahadur Trailer: Vicky Kaushal Is Path-breaking as Sam Manekshaw

The trailer for Sam Bahadur is here, and it has raised expectations for the film. Vicky Kaushal is on top of the game as Sam Manekshaw, as he plays the part with the utmost honesty and dedication. It is just difficult to take your eyes away from him.
Fans cannot wait for the film to release now so that they can witness the story of our history unfold on the big screen.
The trailer begins with a couplet of Guru Gobind Singh, where we hear the voice of Vicky Kaushal as he delivers it. We see him finally, with his face bathed in yellow light and his eyes as intense as they can be. Then the trailer moves on to show the life of Sam Manekshaw, promising to deliver a deeper look into his heart and mind.
Sam Bahadur tells the story of Sam Manekshaw, who led the Indian Army during the Indo-Pak War of 1971. The film shows his intense interactions with then-Prime Minister Indira Gandhi as well.
Packed with some really powerful scenes, Vicky Kaushal shines inside and out in the trailer. When asked by the Pakistani side to join the Pakistan army, Sam replies, saying that he was born in Amritsar, he studied in Delhi, and his wife is from Bombay. He is as Indian as anyone else. Also seen prominently in the trailer is Fatima Sana Shaikh, as she gives orders to the army during times of war.

"Ham rahe ya na rahe, hamari iss vardi ka gaurav hamesha rahega", utters Sam to his soldiers as they prepare for the war. The trailer is full of such dialogues that just give you goosebumps all along. Meghna Gulzar has co-written the film along with Bhavani Iyer and Shantanu Srivastava.
The music is composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy with lyrics by Gulzar, who wrote some memorable songs for Raazi.
This is Vicky Kaushal`s second collaboration with Meghna Gulzar after Raazi, where he didn`t play the central character, but his performance garnered a lot of praise. Moving up the ladder, he is all set to lead the stage in Sam Bahadur.
Sam Bahadur also stars Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh in important roles. It clashes at the box office with Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna.
