Sandeep Reddy Vanga praises Rishab Shetty`s Kantara Chapter 1
Rishab Shetty does it again! Kantara Chapter 1 is already becoming the talk of the town after it saw a theatrical release on October 2. The much-awaited prequel of the 2022 mythology thriller mystery has had everyone singing praises, including filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
Vanga called Shetty`s recent release a "true masterpiece", adding, "Indian cinema has never seen anything like this."
For the uninitiated, Kantara Chapter 1 is the prequel to the 2022 release, Kantara, a Kannada blockbuster revolving around real stories based on the folklore of a tribal Kannada community who believe in their local deities or guardian spirits.

Praising both Shetty and his recent release, the Animal filmmaker wrote, "KANTARA Chapter 1 is a true masterpiece. INDIAN cinema has never seen anything like this before. It`s a cinematic thunderstorm, raw, divine, and unshakeable. Rishab Shetty delivers a true one-man show, crafted and carried single-handedly (folded hands emoji) @shetty_rishab. Special mention to the BGM by @AJANEESHB."

In a separate tweet, the actor-director expressed his gratitude for all the love Kantara Chapter 1 is receiving.
He expressed his emotions on the film`s opening day and wrote, "From struggling to get one evening show in 2016 to 5000 houseful shows in 2025. This journey is nothing but your love, support, and God`s grace. Forever grateful to every single person who made this possible."
Other celebs who praised Kantara
Several other celebrities, like Prabhas, also took to their Instagram stories and praised the film, writing, “Kantara Chapter 1 is a brilliant film with outstanding performances from everyone. The biggest blockbuster of the year.”
Jr NTR also took to social media and congratulated Shetty. He wrote, "Congratulations to the team of #KantaraChapter1 on scoring a resounding success. @shetty_rishab sir pulled off the unthinkable by excelling both as a mindblowing actor and a brilliant director. My best wishes to the entire cast and crew, along with @hombalefilms, for fearlessly backing Rishab sir’s vision."
Released in multiple languages, including Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Bengali, Kantara Chapter 1 is successfully running in cinemas near you.
