Shreyas Talpade has spoken up on his heart attack
On December 14, 2023, Shreyas Talpade suffered from a massive heart attack as he finished shooting for Welcome to the Jungle. After that, he was immediately hospitalized, and he went through an urgent angioplasty. It caused a lot of shockwaves in the industry, and his fans wished for his quick recovery. Now, he has opened up about the difficult time and even said that he was clinically dead, and it is a miracle that he is alive.
Shreyas Talpade opens up about his heart attack
In an interview recently, he said, "Clinically, I was dead. It was a massive cardiac arrest. A wake-up call would be an understatement." He even called it his second chance at life, as both of his arteries were blocked. He had to place a stent through angioplasty.
He further said that he had been working continuously for the past 2.5 years without many breaks. Apart from that, his schedule also involved a lot of traveling. He even sensed something was wrong with his body when he started feeling fatigued and extremely exhausted. He got himself checked and found that his cholesterol levels were quite high. He started taking medications for the same.

What happened during the shoot of Welcome to the Jungle?
Shreyas Talpade also revealed the details of the time when he got the heart attack. They were shooting an action sequence at SRPF grounds in Mumbai. After the last shot, he started feeling breathless, and his left hand was hurting. He was barely able to walk. He shared, "As soon as I got into the car, I felt I should head straight to the hospital, but I thought I should go home first. My wife, Deepti, saw me in that state, and within 10 minutes, we were on our way to the hospital."
He was placed under observation for 5 days and is not told to take rest.
Shreyas Talpade is well-known for acting in films like Om Shanti Om, Iqbal, Dor, and the Golmaal franchise. He even turned into a director with his 2018 film Poster Boys, starring Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol.
