Navra Maza Navsacha 2, the much-anticipated sequel to Sachin Pilgaonkar’s iconic 2004 comedy, hit theatres last week. The Marathi-language comedy-drama has already garnered positive reviews from both critics and audiences.
Along with its entertaining storyline, one of the highlights of the movie is a surprise appearance by Sachin’s daughter, Shriya Pilgaonkar, in a special Ganpati song. Shriya`s presence has added a touch of magic to the film, and her performance is being widely praised.
Shriya, excited about this opportunity, shared her thoughts on being part of the song, saying, “Like so many people, I am also a huge fan of Navra Maza Navsacha, which was released 19 years ago. And while I have been helping with the marketing and PR of the film, I was elated when Papa asked me to be a part of the beautiful Ganpati song, Dumroo Vaje, which has gone viral. It’s a privilege to witness the passion and hard work my parents put into their work, and I’m honoured to be part of this iconic sequel, which is already opening to big numbers at the box office. I had so much fun dancing, and I want more opportunities to dance on screen.”

In the song, Shriya is dressed in a traditional red nauvari saree, accessorised with two necklaces, matching earrings, and bright bangles. Her look has left the audience raving, and her elegant Marathi attire has become a talking point.
