Siddharth Roy Kapur’s RKF Production House Announces 8 New Exciting Shows

Siddharth Roy Kapur`s production company Roy Kapur Films (RKF) has announced an exciting new slate of series in development and production for 2022–2023 following the success of "Aranyak" on Netflix and "Rocket Boys" on SonyLIV. He disclosed that a diverse group of up-and-coming talent and seasoned directors will foster and produce the series.
Vishnuvardhan, Shershaah movie`s director, will make his series directing debut with a sprawling multi-season epic action drama that tells the tale of a crucial period in India`s military history in the 20th century.
Mahesh Narayanan is best known for his films "C U Soon" and "Malik." A multi-season spy thriller with locations in the Middle East and South Asia will be directed by the acclaimed Malayalam director.
Hardik Mehta, the Paatal Lok writer, and Roohi director will be directing a family drama series about rival business families located in Europe, Africa, and India.
The writer and director Abbas Tyrewala made his feature film debut with Jaane Tu...Yaa Jaane Na. A spy action drama series with South Asian counter intelligence theme will be written and directed by him.
Arati Kadav is an award-winning writer, producer, and director. The debut feature film Cargo, which has a cult following in the Indian "lo-fi" sci-fi area, was written, directed, and produced by Arati Kadav. She is currently working on a series that will be unique and have a funny take on romance in the sci-fi genre.
Two new directors have been introduced as part of RKF`s ongoing effort to empower emerging voices by providing them with a platform to demonstrate their innovative approach to storytelling.
With a chaotic and entertaining female-led comic thriller series, popular ad filmmaker Bhavesh Kapadia—the man behind some of India`s most well-known commercials for Nerolac and Crompton—will make his directorial debut.
Anubhav Chopra will develop and direct a young adult drama series that is set in the high-stress setting of a contemporary high school after receiving strong praise for his Netflix ary House of Secrets: The Burari Deaths.
Jinesh Shah, Head, Originals RKF, added, “With these eight phenomenal series, we are prepared to bring audiences a smorgasbord of riveting stories. We’re looking forward to training our lenses on different worlds with these talented filmmakers, and delving into the psyches of intriguing, layered, and compelling characters.”
Later this year Roy Kapur Films will release a set of movies and series which includes the much-awaited season 2 of Rocket Boys. Other lined-up films are Pippa, Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan? and Bas Karo Aunty!
