Sonakshi Sinha Responds to Trolls with Message of Love, Father Defends Interfaith Marriage
Sonakshi Sinha, the popular Bollywood actress, has finally addressed the online trolls who targeted her recent marriage to Zaheer Iqbal. The couple, who had been dating for seven years, tied the knot on June 23rd in an intimate ceremony, followed by a grand reception for their industry friends. However, their interfaith marriage sparked negativity online, prompting Sonakshi to send a subtle yet powerful message.
The couple had to disable comments on their wedding photos due to the barrage of negativity. This negativity extended beyond the virtual world as well. Several protests erupted in Sinha`s hometown, Patna, spearheaded by the Hindu Shiv Bhawani Sena. The group labelled the marriage "love jihad," a term used to demonise interfaith relationships involving Muslim men. They even went as far as demanding that Sinha never visit Patna again.

Shatrughan Sinha defends his daughter`s choice
Standing firmly by his daughter`s side, veteran actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha slammed the protestors. Quoting legendary lyricist Anand Bakshi, he said, "Anand Bakshi saab has written about such professional protestors, `Kucch to log kahenge, logon ka kaam hai kehna. To this, I would like to add, `Kehne waale agar bekar, bekaam-kaaj ke ho to kehna hi kaam ban jata hai. (Let them talk; it`s their job to talk. But I would add that for the unemployed, this becomes their only job.) My daughter has done nothing illegal or unconstitutional."Also Read: Shatrughan Sinha Comments on His Daughter Sonakshi’s Wedding with Zaheer Iqbal
