Tanushree Dutta Birthday: Actress Talks About Emraan Hashmi, ‘Not the Most Comfortable Kisser’
Actress and model Tanushree Dutta celebrates her 40th birthday on 19 March. She was the 2004 Femina Miss India Universe titleholder and has since worked in several Bollywood films. She made her debut in the 2005 film Aashiq Banaya Aapne, opposite the film industry`s `serial kisser` Emraan Hashmi. However, in an interview, Tanushree shed some light on Emraan`s popular title and how much truth there is in it.
Tanushree recounted, “Emraan, for me, has always been an actor from Day 1. I did three films with him. We shot for a kissing scene in ‘Chocolate’ too, but they didn’t keep it. It was very awkward the first time. The second time, the awkwardness was reduced. Because personally, in real life, we don’t have any chemistry with each other. He does have a kisser-boy image, but he is not the most comfortable kisser. And neither am I.”

Continuing on the subject, the actress mentioned that she faced prejudice for her daring roles at the time. People objected to her wearing skimpy clothes while some of the biggest names in the industry escaped the prejudice after doing the same.
Tanushree shared, “The biggest and top-most actresses have done kissing, lovemaking scenes. Unko koi kuch nehi bolta. Mujhse sabko dikkat ho jati hai. Main short-skirt pehenu ya koi aisa scene kar du. Acting hai, bhai. Usmein mera aur Emraan ka kuch personal tha nehi.” (Nobody says a word against them. Everyone has a problem with me. Whether I wear short skirts or do kissing scenes, it’s all acting. There was nothing personal between me and Emraan.) She concluded by saying, “Mine and Emraan’s chemistry is like brother-sister. Literally.”
