Vivek Agnihotri is currently soaring high on the success ladder as The Kashmir Files wins the National Award for Best Film on National Integration. It was one of the few Bollywood films that attracted both controversy and praise at the same time. Now, the director is awaiting his next release, The Vaccine War. Amidst the wait, actor R. Madhavan saw The Vaccine War at a special screening of the film in the US and is all praise for the filmmaker.
R Madhavan took to Twitter and showered heaps of praise on The Vaccine War, adding he is totally blown out. Sharing a poster of the film, he called Vivek Agnihotri a "master storyteller who makes you cheer, applaud, weep, and euphoric, all at the same time."
He further added, “Stellar performances by the entire cast so beautifully depict the sacrifices and the sheer grit of our Indian scientists (ladies) aptly and impactfully." Take a huge bow, team #TheVaccineWar. The Indian scientific community owes your debt of gratitude as we do to them. (national flag and folded hands emojis)"
"Go see the film in the theaters and make sure to buy a ticket for your superwoman, who helped you survive the lockdown. The domestic help and the lovely women (folded hands, thumbs up, red heart, and hug face emojis) @vivekagnihotri @AnupamPKher," Maddy concluded.
“When The Kashmir Files was postponed during COVID lockdown, I started researching on it. Then we started researching with the scientists at ICMR and NIV, who made our own vaccine possible," Agnihotri said.
He further added, "Their story of struggle and sacrifice was overwhelming, and while researching, we understood how these scientists fought a war waged against India not just by foreign agencies but even by our own people. Yet we won against superpowers by making the fastest, cheapest, and safest vaccine. I thought this story must be told so that every Indian can feel proud of their country."
The Vaccine War is all set to release on September 28 in cinemas near you.
