Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal Talks About Mental Trauma After Winning Case Against Asit Modi
If you thought casting couch and sexual harassment cases only existed in Bollywood, wait till you hear this Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma actress`s case. Jenniver Mistry Bansiwal, who played Mrs. Roshan Singh Sodhi in the TV serial, accused producer Asit Kumarr Modi of sexually harassing her and for not paying her dues.
The actress took legal action against him and filed an FIR. Later, she sought help from the government of Maharashtra, with the case`s judgment ruling in her favor. Asit Kumarr Modi has been ordered to clear Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal`s dues and pay her an additional 5 lakh for holding back her rightful compensation.
The judgment had been ruled out in February; however, the actress was asked to be tight-lipped about the same and not share anything on social media. In addition to accusing Modi, she also took legal action against producers Sohil Ramani and Jatin Bajaj.
Sharing the news of the judgment that ruled in her favor, Jennifer revealed that the producer was asked to pay her 5 lakh compensation along with clearing all her pending dues, which amount to 25–30 lakhs.

Now, the actress took to Instagram and shared her first post after winning the case against Asit Kumar Modi. She penned a rather long note and thanked her husband, Bobby Bansiwal, and lawyer, Ammitt Share, for constantly believing in her.
Sharing the video with a victory sign hand gesture, Jennifer wrote, “I declare victory in my sexual harassment case... Asit Modi has been proven guilty in the case. Thank you, God! I made it happen with the help of my lawyer, @ammitt_khare, the support of my husband, @bobbybansiwal, and my close friends, family, and my fans, who truly believed that I wasn’t playing woman card, doing cheap publicity, or fabricating things. I was just standing firm on faith all alone and speaking the truth, but it’s not over yet."
She further added, "Just letting Asit Modi pay my amount due (which he hasn’t yet paid even after 40 days of passing the verdict in February), (he has withheld my payment for the past year), and a compensation of 5 lacs is nothing.”
“I have gone through extreme mental trauma, loss of employment and friends, loss of prestige, medical bills, expenses for the case, etc.—all this leaving my 10-year-old daughter at home," her caption read.

She further wrote, "And what about giving a verdict for Sohil Ramani and Jatin Bajaj? I am not completely satisfied as there was no punishment for all three of them. I`m still thankful to the Government of Maharashtra for at least looking into the case, unlike the police authorities, but I won’t sit quiet.”
For the untold, Jennifer Mistry accused Asit Modi of sexually harassing her by passing inappropriate comments and holding back her dues. She even accused co-producers Sohil and Jatin of making sexist comments.
"The verdict does not even ask Mr Modi, Sohil, and Jatin to even apologize to me, as I was clearly abused while working in Tmkoc and the compensation asked to pay is menial. This I say because Rs 5 lakhs is a petty amount for Mr Modi. By such an amount, I think people like Mr Modi will get inspired to commit such crimes, as they can get away with bigger crimes by just paying off petty amounts. I am not accepting the verdict and decide to go further by just not taking my money," the caption further read.

"Also, a woman’s self-respect cannot be quantified in the manner in which the verdict and compensation were declared. This victory of mine might encourage females to come forward if they are being treated in the wrong way, but this is the bigger fight for justice,” Jennifer further added.
Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal concluded her post by writing, `Satyamev Jayate.`

Not fully satisfied with the verdict ruled out in her favor, the actress added, “They proved Asit Modi guilty of sexual harassment, which I knew from the beginning; what is new in it???
