Triptii Dimri Recalls Mean Comments From Relatives For Wanting To Act In Movies

When Triptii Dimri`s relatives passed stereotypical comments
The industry being a pretty tough space for outsiders who want to make a name in Bollywood, it was Triptii Dimri who rose to fame with her sheer hard work and persistence. She made her debut in 2018 with Laila Majnu.
However, it took her a couple of years to become a noticeable name in the film industry. With projects like Bulbul and Qala, she became every director`s desire.
While she is now one of the top actresses in Bollywood, her journey wasn`t easy. In a recent interview, Triptii Dimri recalled the mean and stereotypical comments by her relatives when she moved to Mumbai to become an actor.
She sat down with Katrina Kaif`s Kay Beauty YouTube channel for a rather candid conversation, where she recalled mean and negative comments from her relatives and extended family when she chose to become an actor.

Opening up about her roots, Triptii said, "I am from Uttarakhand, but I was born and brought up in Delhi, so my parents and family are in Delhi... it was difficult for me when I moved to Bombay (Mumbai), you know, to go out every day in front of more than 50-60 people in a room."
"There are people in society and in my family who said mean things to my parents. People have said things like, `Why did you send your daughter to this profession?` She is going to get spoiled; she will hang out with the wrong people; she is going to make wrong choices for herself; no one is going to want to marry her; she is not going to get married now," she added.
The Qala actress further continued, "There was a point when I was confused, because, you know, you lose hope when you get up and there is no work. But one thing I knew was that I could not go back to my parents and tell them, `No, I have not done it`."

Having made her debut with the 2018 release Laila Majnu, the diva further said that her parents were extremely proud of the work she had done in the film.
She is currently gearing up for Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video with Rajkummar Rao. The film will bring together the two actors for the first time on the big screen.
Post that, she will also be seen in Kartik Aaryan`s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which also stars Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit in prominent roles.
