One of the most adored couples, Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif, welcomed their first child, a son, in November 2025. The couple embraced parenthood after four years of their marriage.
On November 7, 2025, Vicky and Katrina shared the exciting news with the world about being blessed with a baby boy. They named him Vihaan Kaushal, reminding several fans of the actor`s iconic character in URI: The Surgical Strike.
Now, in his recent interview, the doting father opened up about how it feels to be a new dad to the munchkin and also lauded Katrina for being a hands-on mom.

At a recent event hosted by The Hollywood Reporter India, the Chhava actor revealed how he feels to be a `brand new dad`.
Kaushal said, “He is three months old right now; there’s very little a dad has to do when the baby is three months old. I’m just trying to be a cheerleader, and I’m waiting for him to grow up so I can contribute more.”

Talking about his wife, the actor added, “Right now, the mother is being the superhero, and she has been a warrior through her pregnancy, and she has been a warrior as a mother as well. I’m so incredibly proud of her, and I love her so much.”
Once again, Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif are serving couple goals and making fans swoon over their love story.

On January 7 – when the little munchkin turned two months old – the doting parents took to social media and revealed their son`s name.
Sharing an adorable picture of the trio`s hands, the couple wrote, “Our Ray of Light – Vihaan Kaushal. Prayers are answered. Life is beautiful. Our world is changed in an instant. Gratitude beyond words.”

Congratulating the new parents, the URI director Aditya Dhar commented, “@vicky @katrina huge congratulations!! Mere Vikkuuu, from bringing Major Vihaan Shergill to life on screen to now holding little Vihaan in your arms, life really has come full circle. All my love and blessings to the three of you. You’re both going to be extraordinary parents.”
On the work front, Vicky Kaushal will next be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali`s Love and War, alongside Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor.
