Expressing his disbelief and paranoia, his caption read, "I understand that fans get very happy and excited seeing their favorite players and get excited to meet them and I`ve always appreciated that. But this video here is appalling and it`s made me feel very paranoid about my privacy. If I cannot have privacy in my hotel room, then where can I expect any personal space at all?? I`m NOT okay with this kind of fanaticism and absolute invasion of privacy. Please respect people`s privacy and not treat them as a commodity for entertainment."
Being shared just a few minutes ago, the reel has already garnered 2.5 million views and comments from several verified profiles. One of which was Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan who commented "Horrible behavior." Kohli`s other fans also came to his support. One commented, "Sick !!! Too much. Hotel management also equally at fault… limit for everything, at least it should be in good intent… this is not !!!", while the other expressed, "We are with you, king." Joining them was the actress and his wife Anushka Sharma. She condemned this behavior and called it an invasion of privacy.
Coming in support of her husband, Anushka shared the reel on her story and said, "Have experienced few incidents, where fans have shown no compassion or grace in the past but this is the worst thing. An absolute disgrace and violation of a human being and anyone who sees this and thinks celebrity ho! Toh deal karna padega should know that you are also part of the problem."
"Exercising some self-control helps everyone. Also, if this is happening in your bedroom then where is the line," she further added. We completely agree that fans do go a little overboard at times just to get their favorite cricketers to notice them. And this sort of behavior is completely unwarranted and unacceptable.
