Ranbir Kapoor is currently knee-down drenched in the success of his latest Bollywood release Brahmastra Part One: Shiva. After garnering mixed reviews yet a massive success from across the globe, the who`s who of tinseltown came together to applaud a maien attempt to create a superhero universe in Bollywood. Speaking of superheroes, did you know Ranbir was once offered to audition for another massive Hollywood franchise Star Wars?
Yes, you read that right. However, Ranbir Kapoor turned down the offer as he is scared of auditioning. In an old interview with film critic Rajeev Masand, Ranbir got candid about his fear of giving auditions. “I was asked to audition as the second lead in Star Wars a couple of years back. I have a fear of auditioning. It’s more a fear from not having that much faith in my talent,” he said.
Ranbir further added that while the offer was tempting, he rather preferred to make his own Star Wars-like movie with Ayan Mukerji. “Let’s make our own Star Wars. Let’s not chase what’s there. That’s great but I have an opportunity here and I don’t think Ayan is less than a JJ Abrams or a George Lucas. Let me work with him and make our own Star Wars,” he said.
Well, we hope this hasn`t triggered Star Wars fans. If it has, Ranbir, may the force be with you.
