Women’s Day Special: Bollywood Movies That Showcased The Stories Of Real-Life Superwomen!

God knew that men are not capable enough to handle certain situations in life and he created women to handle events that are sometimes larger than reality. Well, to show respect to the Superwomen in our society who crossed all the boundaries and did something that made us feel proud of them, Bollywood has created some amazing movies that portray their story in the best way possible. On the occasion of Women’s Day, here is a list of Bollywood films that showcased the stories of real-life Superwomen.
1. Chhapak (2020):
The movie is inspired by the life of the acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal, who never imagined how her life would take a turn after she met with the acid attack. She fought against the man who did such an inhuman activity and tried to destroy her life.
2. Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway (2023):
The Bollywood film is based on the story of Sagarika Chakraborty. It shows the real-life story of an Indian woman defiantly standing up to the Norwegian government to reunite with her children. It gives us a lesson that, there’s nothing in this world a mother cannot do!
3. Raazi (2018):
An inspiring story of a Kashmiri girl named Sehmat who is a RAW agent. It shows her struggles as a spy and how bravely she devotes her life to her country India.
4. Neerja (2016):
The movie is based on a true-life event which was the hijacking of Pan Am Flight 73 in Karachi, Pakistan in September 1986. The movie pays tribute to Neerja Bhanot, an Indian who dies while saving passengers from the terrorists, and you won’t believe she sacrificed her life at the early age of 22 years.
5. No One killed Jessica (2011):
The film portrays the story of Jessica Lall`s murder, which took place on April 29, 1999. Jessica was shot dead at a restaurant in Delhi. The story is the amalgamation of the struggle of three strong women who stood against the culprits and fought for justice.
