Presenting the highlights of the much-awaited fifth season
1. The new season introduces us to newer characters - A new character called Sagasta, played by José Manuel Seda, marks his debut as the cold and ruthless Commander of the Spanish Army's Special Forces. He plans on bringing down the Professor's gang, once and for all. It also introduces Rafael essayed by (actor’s name), Berlin’s son, an electronic engineer who specializes in cybersecurity.
2. Berlin’s return - Berlin, a much-loved character who died in season 2, makes an appearance through flashback sequences where his relationship with his son, Rafael is depicted.
3. Alicia gets betrayed - Alicia Sierra, who was in-charge of the operation gets framed by Tamayo in a press conference for leaking sensitive information and collaborating with the Professor.
4. A baby is born - A pregnant Alicia gives birth to a girl child during the course of the heist. She names her Victoria.
5. A Classic Love Triangle - In the last episode of Volume 1, Julia confesses her love for Denver, after being struck down during the crossfire.
6. Tokyo’s life before meeting the Professor - Season 5: Volume 1 gives a preview of Tokyo’s life and journey, prior to meeting the Professor. A flashback sequence acquaints us to Rene, Tokyo’ boyfriend who was shot while robbing a bank with her, which led to Tokyo’s inclusion in the Professor’s gang.
7. Arturo Roman loses his pulse - Arturo seizes an opportunity to fight back against the gang while escalating a personal vengeance and almost loses his pulse.
8. The Special Forces come in - Tamayo calls in Sagasta and raises the stakes of the negotiations, even after the gang waves the white flag as a symbol of peace.
9. Stockholm’s hallucinations - Stockholm almost kills a hostage and starts hallucinating.
10. Tokyo and Rio decide to get back together - After splitting apart in season 4, the on-screen couple decide to get back together during the course of the heist.
