Lok Sabha Polls 2024 phase 5 kicks in on May 20, with voting being open in Mumbai. Amid the same, many Bollywood celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Janhvi Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, and Rajkummar Rao, among others, cast their votes. Read on to see who got their fingers inked this election season.
1. Akshay Kumar
The Khiladi of Bollywood voted for the first time after regaining his Indian citizenship. Stepping out early on Monday morning, Akshay Kumar was spotted in Juhu.“I want my India to be developed and strong, and I kept these things in mind when I went to cast my vote. All Indians should think about what is right for them and vote,” the Bade Miyan Chote Miyan actor said after he cast his vote.
2. Janhvi Kapoor
The Dhadak actress looked gorgeous in a bright pink salwar suit as she arrived at the polling booth to cast her vote at the Lok Sabha polls in 2024. Janhvi Kapoor flaunted her inked finger as she posed for the shutterbugs.3. Rajkummar Rao
The Mr. and Mrs. Mahi actor, who has also been declared the National Icon for the Election Commission of India, cast his vote at the Lok Sabha 2024 elections.Emphasizing today's day, Rajkummar Rao said, “It is very, very important. If through us people can get influenced, of course that’s the biggest thing we can do to make people aware of the importance of voting.”
4. David Dhawan and Varun Dhawan
The father-son duo also complied with their duty of being responsible Indian citizens as they cast their vote on Monday morning. Both Varun and David were spotted wearing casual outfits as they flaunted their inked fingers.5. Boney Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor
The father-daughter duo also responsibly voted during the national election season. Both Boney and Khushi were all smiling as they flaunted their inked fingers.6. Farhan Akhtar
The Zindagi Na Milegi Dobaara actor was spotted standing in a queue at a polling station in Bandra West. He spoke to PTI and said, "My vote is for good governance; the government that looks after all the people gives us a better city.”Farhan Akhtar even urged the youngsters to come out and vote. “I just heard from somebody that young people are complaining that it’s too hot, but it's not hot at all, so please do step out and vote,” he added.
