1. Her earlier name was Reema Lamba. She changed her name to avoid confusion with other actresses named Reema. She decided to use her mother’s maiden name ‘Sherawat’ as a form of appreciation towards her mother as she was always supportive of her career.
2. Sherawat has been actively engaging in women rights activity. At the 65th United Nations Conference in 2014, she highlighted the sufferings faced by Indian women. During the Cannes Film Festival, she locked herself in a cage to lend support towards the ‘Free A Girl India Foundation’.
3. Before making her debut in Bollywood as an actor, she was an air hostess.
4. She was featured in American popstar Bruno Mars’s parody video of Salt N Pepa’s 'Whatta Man'.
5. In 2005, she collaborated with Jackie Chan for a Chinese film called 'The Myth". She played the character of an Indian girl who saves Chan’s character from drowning.
