Ram Navami 2025 is around the corner, and the nation gathers to celebrate the birth of the Lord Ram. He is the epitome of righteousness, dharma, and ideal kingship. The seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu, Lord Rama, taught us some important life lessons in the Ramayana. On Ram Navami, dont miss out on visiting these iconic Shri Ram temples in India.

1. Ram Tirath Temple: Amritsar
Located in the breathtaking town of Amritsar, Ram Tirath is a lesser-known Lord Rama temple that dates back to the Ramayana era. It has a huge sarovar and a massive area.It is believed to be Sage Valmiki's ashram, where Mata Sita took shelter when Lord Rama abandoned her.

2. Ram Raja Temple: Orccha, Madhya Pradesh
Apart from being known for the magnificent Orccha Palace, Madhya Pradesh is also home to the Ram Raja temple. It is the only holy place where Lord Rama is worshipped both as a god and as a king.
3. Shri Vijayraghava Peruma Temple: Thiruppkuzhi, Tamil Nadu
While this tenple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, a Sanctum Sanctorum of the Vijayraghava temple showcases Lord Rama's idol performing the final rites of bird demigod Jatayu. It is located in the Kanchipuram district of Tamil Nadu.
4. Kodanda Rama Tenple: Hiremagalur, Karnataka
Some temples recite stories that are barely known to us. Kodanda Rama Temple is one of them where an anecdote from the Skanda Purana is depicted. It shows when Lord Rama, with Mata Sita by his side, grants darshan to Parshuram.
5. Triprayar Shri Rama Temple: Thrissur, Kerala
This temple houses the idol of Lord Ram, which was worshipped by Lord Krishna. The atmosphere of this divine site gives utmost peace and happiness. India's Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, recently visited the lesser-known Rama temple.
6. Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra, Ayodhya
Ayodhya Ram Mandir was inaugurated on January 22, 2024, after a pranapratishta ceremony. It holds utmost significance to all Hindu devotees, as Ayodhya is believed to be Lord Ram's birthplace.
