He further added, "I went up to her set and met her. When I met her, it was almost like a dream come true. However, Yogeeta straight-up denied leaving Mithun. That's when the actress decided to cut all ties with Chakraborty and go on to marry Boney Kapoor.
As for Jeetendra, rumors suggest the two shared the same room during the shoot of one of their movies. Their romance brewed after the success of Himmatwala. However, Sridevi denied all the rumors.
In an interview in 1984, the actress rubbished all the rumors about her alleged affair with Jeetendra and said, “Never! Honestly, till this day, I have never been to Jeetu’s hotel room, nor has he ever come home. I know people have been saying a lot of bad things, but this is the truth. I am an innocent girl. I’m not a fool, but I am not a calculative person either. And I am certainly not a man-eater.”
