Don`t Ignore These Breast Cancer Signs

A new lump or mass

The most common symptom of breast cancer, the lump may feel hard, painless, and irregular in shape. However, some breast cancers can be soft, round, and tender.

Changes to the skin of the breast

The skin of the breast may become dimpled, puckered, or look like the peel of an orange. This is called peau d`orange.

Nipple discharge

Any discharge from the nipple, other than breast milk, can be a symptom of breast cancer. The discharge may be bloody, clear, or yellow.

Nipple retraction

If your nipple begins to turn inward, this could be a sign of breast cancer.

Swelling of all or part of a breast

Even if you don`t feel a lump, swelling in one breast can be a sign of breast cancer.

Pain in the breast

While less common, breast cancer can cause pain in the breast.

Changes in the size or shape of a breast

If one breast becomes noticeably larger or smaller than the other, or if the shape of your breast changes, this could be a sign of breast cancer.
