Duration of Ganesh utsav!

The festival lasts 10 days, starting on chaturthi of Hindu month of Bhadrapada (August–September). Families choose to host the idol for 1.5, 3, 5, 7, or 11 days

Prana Pratishtha

Devotees bring crafted clay idols (murtis) into homes or decorated public stages (pandals) and invoke the deity`s presence through sacred mantras.

Modak: The mandatory "prasad"
